To get around Bordeaux, the bus (Victoire-Somme) and tramway B (Place de la Victoire) stops are just 100 metres from the flat, giving you quick access to the city centre's sights. If you like the lively atmosphere of the markets, you'll also want to visit the Marché des Capucins, Bordeaux's largest covered market, just a 5-minute walk from the house, where you can do your shopping or enjoy a platter of oysters from the Bay of Arcachon, a plate of Spanish tapas, charcuterie or cheese, accompanied by a Bordeaux or Entre-deux-mers wine. At the other end of the spectrum, the friendly and lively Nansouty district is home to many detached town houses, old bourgeois homes and typical shops. The neighbourhood associations are very active, providing a wide range of events throughout the year. Local residents will find plenty of local shops both around Place Nansouty and on the Cours de l'Yser and Cours de la Somme.
